The protest of doctors at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi continued for the fifth day on Friday.
Due to the protest, there has been a severe shortage of doctors in OPDs and wards.
According to the protesting doctors, they have not been given stipend for two months.
More than 180 house officers are working and stipend of a house officer is fixed at Rs45,000 but even that is not being given.
According to the government announcement, our stipend is Rs70,000.
Security is not being provided in the hospital and in the month of June alone, we have been attacked 5 times.
The protesting doctors demanded the government they should be provided stipend and security.
