Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said alternative dispute resolution (ADR) was important for the timely delivery of justice, it was reported on Tuesday.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the Research Society of International Law (RSIL) and the Sindh Judicial Academy at the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Tarar said special training of judges was essential to deal with modern legal challenges.
He said the capacity of the judiciary needed to be improved through legal reforms and professional training.
The law minister said the judiciary would have to adapt to technology and changing legal requirements.
He said about 1,400 judges, lawyers and government officers had so far received training under iMac.
Tarar also said more than 100 amendments were being proposed in the Criminal Procedure Code.
