Pakistan Railways has decided to restore the Bulleh Shah passenger train service between Lahore and Pakpattan via Kasur from July 17 to facilitate travellers on the route, it was reported on Wednesday.
According to the railway administration, Bulleh Shah Passenger Train 257-Up will depart from Pakpattan at 5 a.m. and arrive in Lahore at 10:50 a.m.
The train will travel through Kasur, Raiwind and Kot Lakhpat before reaching Lahore.
The return service, Bulleh Shah Passenger Train 258-Down, will leave Lahore at 4 p.m. and arrive at Pakpattan Railway Station at 9:30 p.m.
The restored train will consist of five economy-class coaches and one power van.
Railway officials said the resumption of the service was aimed at providing an affordable travel option for passengers commuting between Lahore, Kasur, Pakpattan and other stations along the route.
