Nawaz Sharif to run PML-N election campaign in AJK

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Azad Kashmir has been finalized to lead the party’s election campaign, it was reported on Friday.

Nawaz Sharif will address major election rallies in Muzaffarabad on July 21 and Mirpur on July 24.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will also participate in the election tour of Azad Kashmir along with Nawaz Sharif.

Senator Rana Sanaullah, Engineer Ameer Muqam and the central leadership of PML-N have reached Muzaffarabad for the election campaign.

Former Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MPA Usama Leghari and senior member of the Election Coordination Cell Raja Nadir Imtiaz are also part of the delegation.

President PML-N Azad Kashmir Shah Ghulam Qadir welcomed the central leadership, and arrangements for the rallies and election campaign were reviewed.

Former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Secretary Information Barrister Iftikhar Gilani and other leaders attended the consultative meeting.

The meeting discussed election strategy, schedule of rallies, contacts with candidates and making the election campaign more effective.

PML-N ticket holders Saqib Majeed Raja, Noreen Arif and Abdul Rehman Arain also attended the meeting.

According to party sources, during his visit to Azad Kashmir, Mian Nawaz Sharif will also meet candidates, party officials and workers.

The PML-N has decided to run a vigorous election campaign in the Azad Kashmir elections and further intensify its public relations campaign.
