Intelligence agencies and police carried out a joint operation in Deharki and foiled an attempt to smuggle wheat worth millions of rupees, it was reported on Friday.
According to police, hundreds of sacks were recovered from the warehouse of a private cotton factory and the warehouse was sealed.
Action was taken on the spot while wheat was being loaded into the container.
Wheat worth millions of rupees was being smuggled late at night.
Wheat was seized and handed over to the Food Department.
Legal action initiated against the responsible persons and driver was arrested.
