A World Bank technical mission visited the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) headquarters in Lahore, it was reported on Wednesday.
The World Bank delegation included Senior Urban Specialist Zohaib Rashid and Water Specialist Carlo Ebrata.
A comprehensive and detailed briefing was given by the managing director of the Punjab Municipal Fund Company, Syed Zahid Aziz, to the delegation about the Punjab Inclusive Cities Programme.
The delegation also reviewed the process of appointment and ongoing procurement activities. Water supply and drainage projects in 16 cities are to be completed for $400 million.
Syed Zahid Aziz said that financial discipline and the effective use of funds will be ensured at all levels of the program.
