Federal govt cancels all NOCs and permits granted to officers in past

The Establishment Division on Wednesday issued the office memorandum for the cancellation of all NOCs and permissions granted to the government officers in the past.

The memorandum said that all NOCs and permissions granted under the Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1964, had been cancelled.

The officers were directed to submit fresh applications under the Civil Servants Conduct Rules, 2026.

It further said that the officials from the Secretariat Group, Office Management Group and other groups should now apply again under the new rules.

The officials will now also have to seek permission again for receiving awards and titles from foreign countries, organisations and personalities.

Similarly, they will have to seek permission for sharing official documents and other information with the media under the new rules.
