Noreen Niazi meets PTI founder Imran Khan in jail

RAWALPINDI: Noreen Niazi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was allowed to meet him in jail, according to jail sources.

The meeting took place in the conference room of the jail, where Noreen Niazi and her brother discussed his health and other matters. According to sources, Noreen also briefed the PTI founder about the latest developments concerning a Supreme Court order.

After the meeting, Noreen Niazi left the jail and reached the Dahgal checkpoint.

According to sources, a journalist asked Noreen whether she had been allowed to meet the PTI founder. In response, she placed a finger on her lips, signalling that she should remain silent, without confirming or denying the meeting.

Noreen later remained seated inside her vehicle, while Dr Uzma was also called to the car. A short while later, Qasim Zaman joined them.

Sources said Noreen continued briefing Dr Uzma and Qasim Zaman about the meeting and the matters discussed with the PTI founder.

The development comes amid continued legal and political proceedings involving Imran Khan and his cases.
