PESHAWAR: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsud has added another international achievement to his remarkable record-breaking career, setting a new Guinness World Record by completing 38 full-extension punches in one minute while carrying 10 kilograms of weight.
According to details, Guinness World Records had set a benchmark of 30 punches for the challenge, but Mehsud surpassed the target by completing 38 within the stipulated one-minute period.
The latest achievement further strengthens Mehsud’s reputation as one of Pakistan’s most prolific martial artists in Guinness World Records challenges.
Mehsud surpasses target by eight punches
The challenge required the Pakistani athlete to perform full-extension punches while carrying a 10kg weight, combining speed, strength and endurance.
Mehsud successfully completed 38 repetitions against the required target of 30, exceeding the benchmark by eight punches.
His latest record adds another distinction to a career in which he has repeatedly attempted physically demanding challenges involving push-ups, punches and additional weights.
Speaking to a private TV channel about his achievements, Mehsud said he had established as many as 70 records in the push-ups category at the world level.
He said his record-breaking performances included challenges involving weights of 100, 80, 60 and 40 pounds.
Mehsud has spent years pursuing Guinness World Records and has emerged as a prominent Pakistani name in strength and martial arts challenges.
Records of athletes from 20 countries broken
Mehsud also said he had broken records previously held by competitors from around 20 countries, including the United States, India and Germany.
His achievements have brought international attention to Pakistani martial arts and physical endurance athletes.
The latest record is particularly significant for Mehsud as he continues to expand his collection of Guinness titles across different categories.
