TEHRAN: Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami has said the country’s armed forces will not hesitate for a moment to defend Iran’s independence and territorial integrity.
In a statement, Hatami said Iran’s armed forces and people had demonstrated resilience and resistance in the face of what he described as threats from adversaries.
He warned that any attack on Iran’s security, sovereignty or territorial integrity would receive a decisive response.
According to the army chief, the Iranian nation had remained united in resisting aggression and what he called hostile actions during recent imposed wars.
He said the armed forces had relied on their faith, experience and capabilities to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Hatami said Iran’s armed forces were fully prepared to defend the country across all domains, including its airspace, land and maritime borders.
He emphasized that the military would remain committed to protecting Iran’s independence and national interests, while maintaining readiness to respond to any threat against the country.
The commander’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued concerns over Iran’s security environment.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed the country’s military preparedness and their determination to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity against external threats.
