Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Ottawa on Tuesday for an official visit focused on strengthening relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Canada and expanding cooperation across key sectors.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand welcomed the crown prince at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, according to the UAE’s state news agency WAM.
During the visit, Sheikh Khaled is expected to meet Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties, advance the strategic partnership and identify new areas of cooperation.
The talks are expected to focus on shared priorities and opportunities to expand engagement between the two countries, particularly in sectors of mutual interest.
The crown prince is accompanied by a senior UAE delegation, including Industry Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy, Foreign Trade Minister Thani Al Zeyoudi and Investment Minister Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi.
