KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan, all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Monday, November 9, 2026, on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Monday, November 9, 2026 being public holiday on the occasion of “Allama Iqbal Day”, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the central bank announced in a statement issued in Karachi on Thursday.
Subsequently, all banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institutions will also remain closed on the first day of upcoming week to observe the birth anniversary of the poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
