LAHORE: Taking a big action against the use of fake documents in government contracts and failing to fulfil commitments, the government of Punjab has blacklisted 44 companies and contractors, it was reported on Thursday.
As per details available with the 24News TV channel, complete ban has been imposed on two firms while one of the contractors has been blacklisted for a period of 10 years.
Companies, which had been given contracts to build hospitals, are also included in the list of the companies, which have been blacklisted.
Companies, failing to fulfill their commitments, had to lose government contracts. Three-year ban has been imposed on the company, which had been given the contract to build the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences, Lahore.
Similarly, Salvo Integrated Solutions, which was related to Shahdara Teaching Hospital, was also blacklisted for three years.
A ban of five years was imposed on Mountain Security Services for failing to take over operations at Mozang Teaching Hospital.
Two companies related to the University of Education were completely banned, while technical services international was completely banned as well.
