Mass killing of Muslims has become an order of the day in the Held Kashmir and elsewhere in India, which brags of being world’s largest secular democracy.
This is being done by Indian |Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his allied extremist Hindu parties, which are globally notorious for Hindutva. These parties include the Sangh Parivar Rashtriya Swayamsevak Singh Bajrang Dal, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in India. They have not only massacred Muslims in Gujarat, Assam, Held Kashmir, capital Delhi and other states but also demolished and desecrated valuable properties of Muslims as well as mosques, Eid Gahs, shrines and graveyards. They are grabbing Muslim property with the nefarious design of reducing the numerical size of Muslims in their majority areas.
These acts of persecution have also been extended to Christians, Sikhs and lower caste Hindus. Forced conversions in the name of “return home” are also being carried out under the patronage of the Modi government whose slogan is: Those who do not leave religion have to leave the world.
Indian and international newspapers and magazines are replete with such incidents. In fact, after the partition in 1947, the atmosphere in India has never been conducive for Muslims. Hatred against them is rampant, and they are facing unending problems.
The Indians who disagree with the fascist Modi regime, believe that this anti-minority trend will the estate itself. But the problem with the Modi government is that is obsessed with anti-minority especially anti-Muslim phobia. Evidence of Narendra Modi’s hypocrisy is that on the one hand he raises the slogans of “Development of all with all” (Vikas means development in Hindi) and on the other hand he promotes prejudice, bigotry and hatred against minorities particularly Muslims.
Before the outbreak of Corona, the so-called Legal Citizenship Bill was sought to target 10 million Muslims in the state of Assam, and to rob them of the Indian citizenship and as a result expel them from Assam. Most Muslims in Assam speak Bengali, which is why they are accused of being Bengalis. The issue of Muslim citizenship in Assam has been very serious for the last 39 years. Innumerable incidents have taken place in the past when Hindu gangs attacked Muslim communities with the help of state institutions, killing thousands of people and destroying their properties.
