President Asif Ali Zardari expressed on Monday concern about the growing threat posed by India’s hardline Hindutva ideology to the entire region.
According to details, in a meeting at the President’s House with leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), President Zardari extended his Eid ul-Azha greetings to party members. On this occasion, he said: “Minorities, particularly Muslims and Christians, are facing increasing discrimination and hostility in India.”
He emphasised the strength and resilience of the workers, who stood by the party during difficult times.
He reiterated the importance of loyalty to the country and the land, stressing the need for collective efforts towards national progress. “We must focus on strengthening the economy and achieving self-sufficiency for the country,” the President said.
President Zardari highlighted the enormous potential for development in Pakistan. “Pakistan has vast untapped potential for growth,” he stated. “We must focus on strengthening agriculture, which is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, to foster development,” the president added.
The president underscored the importance of supporting farmers, as economic progress can only be achieved by empowering this sector.
He emphasised the need for a united approach towards national development and prosperity, calling for collaborative efforts to drive the country forward.
