KARACHI: Gold has once again gone through the roof as prices surged both in the international and local bullion markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs900, pushing the rate up to Rs362,600.
Likewise, 10 grams of gold saw an increase of Rs772, with the new price standing at Rs310,871.
On the global front, international gold prices also went up by $9 per ounce, reaching $3,399.
With these fresh hikes, gold continues to weigh heavily on the pockets of buyers, while investors see it as a safe haven in uncertain times.
