Pakistan dominate Mr. Universe contest with six-medal haul in Thailand

Pakistan secured an impressive six medals, including five golds and one silver, at the prestigious Mr. Universe Bodybuilding Championship held in Pattaya, Thailand, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

The stellar performance of the national athletes underscored the country’s rising stature in the global bodybuilding arena, as competitors from various categories demonstrated exceptional strength, determination, and discipline against tough international rivals.

In the 50-plus Masters category, seasoned bodybuilder Muhammad Furqan Shakeel secured the gold medal.

Another impressive victory came in the 40-plus category, where Jawad Ahmed earned the gold, adding to Pakistan’s glory.

Rising star Shehroz Khan clinched the top spot in the +70 kg category, while Umair Maqsood Bhatti dominated the 75-kg weight division to secure another gold for the team.

Muhammad Mubashir Khan stood out by bagging two medals, claiming silver in the under-70 kilogram category and a gold medal in the Men’s Classic event.

The collective achievements brought Pakistan’s medal tally to six, marking one of the nation’s most successful outings in an international bodybuilding competition.

The outstanding results in Pattaya not only brought pride to the athletes but also showcased Pakistan’s potential to excel in bodybuilding on the world stage.
