Punjab chose performance over politics of chaos, says Azma Bokhari

Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari said Tuesday that the by-elections held in 13 constituencies across Punjab had clearly shown that the public voted for service delivery and rejected the politics of abuse, hatred, and corruption.

Speaking at a press conference, Bokhari said the results were a testament to the governance style of the Chief Minister of Punjab, whose performance is visible to everyone. She said the Chief Minister has set performance indicators for herself and has initiated more than 90 development projects.

Bokhari said over 35,000 houses have already been completed under various schemes, and that these projects are not just ideas or concepts, rather, practical work begins immediately whenever public interest is involved.

She said that people across all demographics — students, senior citizens, and women — participated actively in the by-election process.

“This vote has been cast for a clean and progressive Punjab,” she said.

Listing key initiatives of the provincial government, Bokhari highlighted the Kisan Card, Himmat Card, Dhee Rani Program, WASA reforms, the Lahore Development Program, and the Gujrat Development Program.

She said that despite past governments holding power at multiple levels, they failed to even provide proper sewerage facilities in Gujrat.

Azma Bokhari said the latest electoral outcome reflects public trust in delivery, development, and stability, rather than chaos-driven politics.
