PML-N Azad Kashmir leader Shah Ghulam Qadir has been formally appointed as the Leader of the Opposition. The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat issued a notification.
The PML-N Azad Kashmir had nominated Shah Ghulam Qadir for the position of Leader of the Opposition, whose written application was submitted to the Speaker Secretariat.
PML-N parliamentary leader Raja Farooq Haider submitted the nomination application to the Speaker Secretariat. Shah Ghulam Qadir’s nomination was made under the decision of the party’s central leadership.
All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference President Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan also supported Shah Ghulam Qadir. The completed petition, including a letter from ten PML-N MLAs and Sardar Atiq, was submitted to the Speaker. The text of the written petition states that the PML-N is currently the single largest party in the Legislative Assembly.
