Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 24 terrorists in 364 intelligence-based operations across the Punjab this week, it was reported on Saturday.
According to CTD spokesperson, dangerous terrorist Shakir of Fitna-ul-Khawarij has been arrested from Lahore.
Explosive material, 4 EID bombs, 24 detonators recovered from terrorists.
Safety fuse wire 58 feet, pamphlets, cash, Prime card recovered from terrorists.
The arrested terrorists include Shakeel Ahmed, Mohibullah, Hayat, Ajab Khan, Shoaib, Irfan, Amjad, Ali Raza, Noman, Rashid Khan, Shakir and others.
The terrorists wanted to spread fear and panic among the public by operating at different places.
During 5604 combing operations this week, 501 suspects were arrested.
Combing 228,138 people were questioned in the operations.
