PML-N, PTI lose their key players to PPP in Attock

Both the PML-N and the PTI have received a shock in Attock where former vice chairman Baldia Attock Malik Tahir Awan has parted his ways with the PML-N and joined the PPP, it was reported on Thursday.

Similarly, Brigadier (r) Asim Nawaz, a PTI leader, who had also remained a candidate for the Punjab Assembly seat, has also bid adieu to his party and joined the PPP.

Both leaders announced their decision to join the PPP during their meeting with party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Lahore.

Bilawal, on the occasion, welcomed them to the party.

Sources told the 24News TV channel that Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and other PPP leaders were also present on the occasion.

The party believes that after the inclusion of these politicians, the PPP will be further strengthened in Attock.
