Punjab govt approves hefty allowance for PERA Force employees

Punjab government has approved special allowance for the employees of Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) Force after the approval of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

PERA Force was constituted to curb encroachments and price control in the province.

According to an official notification, grade 20 officers will get a monthly allowance of Rs 150,000, Grade 19 will get Rs 125,000 and Grade 18 officers will get a monthly special allowance of Rs 100,000.

Grade 17 officer will get Rs 75,000 and monthly allowance ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 has been approved for employees from Grade 16 to Grade 7. However, this allowance will not be applicable to officers of Pakistan Administrative Service, PSP and PMS.

PERA authority will use the budget already allocated for the allowance. The special allowance is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and implementation capacity of PERA.
