Governor Tessori urges govt not to hold talks with PTI

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has called upon the federal government to avoid holding talks with Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) as the “arrogant man” sitting in the Adiala Jail does not accept negotiations.

Talking to media men along with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at Mazar-i-Quaid in Karachi on Thursday, Governor Tessori advised the government not to opt for negotiations with the PTI.

He further said that the PTI founder has not yet given account of his four years in power. “He is targeting Islamabad for power again. Some political and religious parties are dragging Pakistan into problems,” the Sindh governor added.

Responding to a question, Tessori said Pakistan’s progress is linked with Sindh’s progress. “We will all move forward together to see Pakistan at the top,” he said.

CM Murad Ali Shah said he along with his entire cabinet pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. “We are committed to fulfil the public’s hopes,” he said.

The chief minister said PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had made Pakistan a defence power and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is “our guarantor”.

Murad said Pakistan’s Armed Forces inflicted a historic defeat on India.

Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah and other members of the Sindh cabinet also accompanied the chief minister.
