Federal govt nominates 118 officers for 39th Senior Management Course

The federal government has nominated 118 Grade 19 and equivalent officers to participate in the 39th Senior Management Course (SMC), the Establishment Division announced Wednesday.

The course will be held from January 19 to May 8, 2026, at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) campuses in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar. An official letter regarding the nominations has been sent to the Rector of the National School of Public Policy, Lahore.

Among the nominees, 30 officers belong to the Pakistan Administrative Service, including Director General Wildlife and Parks Punjab Mubeen Elahi, Deputy Secretary National Health Services Division Hassan Hareen Hoti, Director General PHA Punjab Mansoor Ahmed, and other senior officials from provincial and federal departments.

Twenty-five officers from the Pakistan Police and Army have also been nominated, including Sarfaraz Nawaz (Sindh Government), Muhammad Masoom (FIA Islamabad), Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui (DPO Khanewal), Dr. Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani (CPO Rawalpindi), and officers from FIA, CTD, Intelligence Bureau, and provincial police departments.

The remaining 63 officers represent other services and groups, including the Secretariat Group, Pakistan Customs Service, Inland Revenue Service, Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, Postal Group, Intelligence Bureau, Board of Investment, federal and provincial departments, Azad Kashmir and Balochistan services, and specialized divisions such as the Ministry of Energy, NDMA, Benazir Income Support Program, and the Ministry of National Food Security.

The Establishment Division has directed all nominated officers to report to the concerned NIPA campus by January 16, 2026. Non-participation or refusal to attend the mandatory training may result in action under the Civil Servants (Promotion) Rules 2019.
