Court declares PTI’s Khadija Shah as absconder in Jinnah House attack case

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has declared former finance minister’s daughter and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Khadija Shah and six other accused as absconders for remaining absent in Jinnah House attack case.

The court on Friday also issued permanent arrest warrants for Khadija Shah and others.

Permanent warrants issued for Khadija Shah, Faisal Akhtar, Adil Saeed, Faqir Syed Arsalan, Qasim Minhas, and Abdullah Hassan.

Anti-Terrorism Court Admin Judge Manzar Ali Gul delivered the verdict.

Proceedings started to declare absconders against co-accused Muhammad Maqbool.

Non-bailable warrants issued for Jinnah House attack accused Muhammad Maqbool.

Accused were not appearing for trial in Jinnah House attack case.

Public prosecutor submitted that Khadija Shah has gone into hiding after being sentenced in a case on May 9.

Public prosecutor further submitted that accused Khadija Shah and others are not appearing due to fear of arrest despite they were given time to appear but did not appear.

Accused did not appear even after arrest warrant was issued, public prosecutor said.
