Karachi witnessed a vibrant display of tradition and unity as 125 Hindu couples were married in a large collective wedding ceremony held at Railway Ground. The colourful event brought together families and guests from different parts of Sindh and other provinces to celebrate the start of new married lives.
The ceremony was organised by the Pakistan Hindu Council in partnership with the Dr Prem Kumar Sital Das Memorial Trust. It was held under the guidance of senior parliamentarian and minority leader Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. This marked the 19th annual mass wedding arranged by the council, continuing its long-standing tradition of supporting underprivileged couples.
Special transport, including buses and other vehicles, was arranged to bring couples and their families to the venue. The ground was beautifully decorated with bright lights, creating a festive atmosphere. Traditional music, drumbeats, and cultural dances welcomed the guests, adding joy and colour to the celebrations. Security arrangements were also in place to ensure a safe and smooth event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said that helping deserving couples begin their married life is a noble act. He shared that providing such support brings deep spiritual satisfaction and strengthens social harmony by promoting care, inclusion, and respect within society.
