Peace efforts bear fruit as terrorist group surrenders in Balochistan

QUETTA: Security forces have achieved a major success under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna in Balochistan, as a group of notorious terrorists surrendered and laid down their arms, signaling a positive step toward restoring peace in the province.
The surrender is the result of coordinated efforts by security forces and brother of the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Aftab Bugti, , aimed at promoting stability and reconciliation in the region.
It is pertinent to mention here that the group previously involved in acts of terrorism, looting, robbery, and extortion surrendered before the State of Pakistan. The group was led by Mirak Khan Chakrani, who laid down arms along with 25 of his associates.
During the surrender, the militants handed over a large cache of weapons and ammunition to the authorities, further reinforcing their commitment to abandoning violence.
Mirak Khan Chakrani also announced his decision to join the “Chakrani Peace Force,” pledging support for efforts to counter extremist elements and maintain peace in the area.
Officials believe that the effective strategy adopted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna will encourage other militant and criminal elements in Balochistan to surrender before the state in the near future, strengthening long-term peace and security.
