PAF unveils JF-17 Block-III & Super Mushshak at global defence extravaganza

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is participating in the World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia, presenting its advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jet and the widely used Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft.

The global defence exhibition provides a key platform for showcasing modern defence and security technologies. PAF’s presence highlights Pakistan’s growing strength in indigenous aerospace development, operational capability and dependable defence solutions.

The JF-17 Thunder Block-III, regarded as the most advanced version of the fighter, features modern avionics, an AESA radar system, enhanced electronic warfare capabilities and beyond-visual-range combat features. These upgrades place the aircraft in the 4.5-generation category, making it suitable for the evolving requirements of modern air forces.

Alongside the JF-17, the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft is also on display. Known for its durability, low operating cost and ease of maintenance, the aircraft has been inducted by several friendly countries and remains a popular platform for basic pilot training.

PAF officials said participation in the exhibition reflects the air force’s commitment to promoting defence cooperation, expanding defence exports and strengthening strategic partnerships.
