The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday fixed for hearing the petitions filed against the procedure adopted for an increase in the petroleum products (POL) prices on March 10.
LHC judge Justice Khalid Ishaq will hear the applications.
Deputy Attorney General Asad Ali Bajwa will represent the federal government in the court.
The court has already sought replies from the government as well as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) since petitions against hike in the petroleum products’ prices have been pending since 2022.
In the applications filed by the Judicial Activism Panel and others, the government, OGRA and others have been made the respondents.
