The Government of Pakistan has strongly denied rumors circulating on social media that Saudi Arabia has stopped financial aid and investment in the country. Officials said these claims are completely false and were spread to mislead the public.
According to the Ministry of Information, the misleading news started from a social media account that is believed to be linked to India. Authorities said the purpose of spreading this false information was to damage the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and create confusion among people.
Government representatives explained that the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia remain strong and stable. They emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is continuing in several important areas such as economic support, trade, and investment.
Officials also said that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan during difficult economic times. Over the years, the kingdom has provided financial assistance, oil supply on deferred payments, and investment opportunities to help strengthen Pakistan’s economy. Because of this long history of cooperation, both countries share a close and trusted partnership.
The government warned that false news on social media can spread quickly and cause unnecessary panic. It can also harm diplomatic relations between friendly countries. Therefore, citizens were advised to verify information before believing or sharing it online.
Authorities stressed that the partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is based on mutual respect and long-term cooperation. They also said both countries are working together on different projects aimed at improving economic growth and regional stability.
