Khyber Paktunkhawa Chief Minister Sohail Afri has said that PTI was concerned over the health of its Founder Imran Khan in jail, adding that party made all out efforts so that Imran Khan treatment should be conducted by Al Shifa hospital doctors in the presence of her family and personal medical.
Addressing a presence conference at Paktunkhawa House in Islamabad, PTI -Insaf leaders CM Sohail Afridi, Junaid Akbar, Babar Awan and Shahid Khattak expressed serious concern regarding the health of the PTI founder.
CM Afridi said that the only agenda of today’s press conference is the health of the PTI founder. The party tried to get the PTI founder treated at Shifa Hospital in Islamabad in the presence of his family and personal doctors, however, this demand is not being accepted.
KP Chief Minister said that PTI founder was a former Prime Minister of Pakistan and such treatment of him is not appropriate.
Afridi alleged that the current government has no clear economic policy and the government’s aim is not to allow the founder of PTI to meet his family and doctors. He added that PTI senators are being disqualified and party workers are also being prevented from political activities.
PTI KP chapter president Junaid Akbar said that the current situation in the region is worrisome and Pakistan is also facing difficulties internally. He said that concerns are growing regarding the health of the PTI founder and questioned why his sisters are not being allowed to meet him if his condition is not serious.
Babar Awan said that the PTI founder’s illness was hidden for a long time, which is a criminal act. According to him, due to this delay, the PTI founder’s eyesight was also affected. He demanded that the PTI founder be immediately shifted to Shifa Hospital and his sister and personal doctor be allowed to stay with him during treatment.
Shahid Khattak said that the party does not have confidence in the current treatment of the PTI founder and there are serious concerns about his health. He appealed to the courts to hear the cases of the PTI founder soon and shift him to Shifa Hospital for better treatment. PTI leaders said that they are not doing politics on the issue but are only raising their voice for the health and proper treatment of the PTI founder.
