An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi until April 9 in connection with the November 26 protest case.
The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah. Bushra Bibi’s counsel, Faisal Malik, appeared before the court. The defence requested that she be allowed to join ongoing investigations. The lawyer stated that authorities had not yet included her in any inquiry.
The court accepted the request. It directed officials to include Bushra Bibi in investigations related to 29 cases. The court also ordered that the process should take place in the presence of her husband, Imran Khan, and her legal team.
In a separate development, the ATC adjourned proceedings in the GHQ attack case until April 7. The hearing could not proceed due to a technical issue. The video link between Adiala Jail and the courtroom failed to connect.
The court instructed authorities to ensure the system is fully operational before the next hearing.
The case was also heard by Judge Amjad Ali Shah. Senior political figures, including Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and Shireen Mazari, appeared before the court. Attendance of other accused persons was also recorded.
According to court proceedings, the presence of Imran Khan was marked through jail records. So far, statements from 44 out of 119 witnesses have been recorded.
