Veteran Pakistani actor Shehryar Zaidi has shared emotional memories of the final moments of his late wife, legendary singer Nayyara Noor, reflecting on her illness, struggle, and his personal loss.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a talk show, Shehryar Zaidi recounted that Nayyara Noor endured severe pain in her last days as she battled cancer for nearly a decade. He explained that the disease had spread to her spine, which caused immense discomfort during her final moments.
He shared that when her condition worsened, he rushed to the hospital, where doctors advised taking her home. However, due to the severity of her condition and the difficult circumstances caused by heavy rainfall in Karachi at the time, moving her was not feasible. He described those moments as deeply distressing, saying he felt helpless watching her suffer.
The actor further expressed that losing his life partner has left a lasting emotional impact on him. He said he often feels lonely even in the presence of others and prefers to spend time alone at home, reflecting on his memories with her.
Responding to suggestions from others about remarrying, Shehryar Zaidi said he does not believe he could find the same level of understanding and companionship again. He described his late wife as a once-in-a-lifetime partner and stated that her loss remains the most significant and painful event of his life.
