Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a list of six senior party leaders to jail authorities for a scheduled meeting with the party’s founder, Imran Khan. The meeting is expected to take place at Adiala Jail, where Khan remains in custody.
The delegation will include Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Salman Akram Raja, along with prominent legal and political figures such as Latif Khosa, Babar Awan, Hamid Khan, and Intizar Panjhota. These leaders plan to visit the prison tomorrow to discuss internal party matters and review the country’s current political situation with Khan.
Sources suggest that the meeting holds importance for PTI as it navigates ongoing legal challenges and political pressures. Party leaders aim to align their strategy and seek guidance directly from Khan.
Earlier this week, authorities arranged a meeting between Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, inside the prison. The couple spent around 30 minutes together in the jail’s conference room. During their meeting, they checked on each other’s well-being and discussed their ongoing legal cases.
According to jail officials, such meetings follow established prison regulations. Authorities usually facilitate a meeting between the husband and wife every Tuesday in line with the jail manual.
The upcoming meeting with PTI leaders is likely to influence the party’s next political moves as it continues to respond to evolving developments in Pakistan’s political landscape.
