Lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry wrote a letter to the superintendent of Adiala Jail again regarding legal documents of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, it was reported on Wednesday.
According to Imarn Khan’s lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chadhry, power of attorney and legal documents once again have been sent to the jail authorities.
Documents should be returned after signing by the founder PTI immediately.
Reference to the previous letter (April 6, 2026) was also included in the letter.
Power of attorney and legal documents were sent through TCS on April 7.
Documents were received at the jail office on April 9 at 3:13 pm.
He also reached gate number 5 of Adiala Jail on April 13. The arrival and purpose were formally recorded with the jail staff and the police.
After waiting for several hours, it was told that Documents “are not found in the record”.
The disappearance of sensitive legal documents is a serious administrative negligence.
This act is an obstacle to legal proceedings and interference in access to justice.
The fundamental rights of the founder PTI and the right to a fair trial are being violated.
The period for filing an appeal in the Supreme Court is rapidly ending and every passing day is affecting the pursuit of legal rights.
The prison authorities have the responsibility to provide access to justice to the prisoner.
He has again sent the new power of attorney and documents along with the letter.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan should be signed documents immediately and should be returned within 24 hours and this matter should be dealt with on an urgent basis.
