Saudi Arabia has expressed concern over the ongoing military tensions in the region and called for de-escalation and restraint among all parties.
The remarks came during a cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, where the regional situation was reviewed in detail.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the cabinet urged all sides to reduce tensions and exercise maximum restraint. It stressed that diplomatic and political solutions must be pursued to avoid further instability in the region.
Saudi Arabia also reiterated its support for Pakistan’s mediation and diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the conflict. The Kingdom emphasized that a peaceful resolution is essential to safeguard regional and global stability, stating that continued escalation serves neither regional nor international interests.
The meeting further reaffirmed support for diplomatic initiatives designed to prevent further deterioration of the situation and promote dialogue between the concerned parties.
Saudi media reported that the cabinet also highlighted the importance of ensuring safe and uninterrupted maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
In addition, the meeting approved a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Justice and Pakistan’s Ministry of Law to enhance bilateral legal cooperation.
