Ayesha Zafar’s record century powers Pakistan women to massive win over Zimbabwe

Pakistan women’s national cricket team produced a sensational all-round performance to overpower Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team by a massive 153 runs in the opening T20I of the three-match series in Karachi.

The star of the night was undoubtedly Ayesha Zafar, who played one of the finest innings in Pakistan women’s cricket history by smashing a breathtaking unbeaten century. Her explosive knock guided Pakistan to 237 for 5 in 20 overs — the highest total ever recorded by Pakistan Women in T20 Internationals.

Batting with confidence from the start, Ayesha Zafar tore through Zimbabwe’s bowling attack and reached her century in just 47 balls. She struck 15 boundaries and two towering sixes during her unbeaten 102-run innings. With this stunning performance, she also became the fastest centurion for Pakistan in Women’s T20 International cricket.

The Karachi crowd witnessed an aggressive batting display as Pakistan dominated almost every over. Aliya Riaz added further momentum with a fiery 48 off just 23 balls, narrowly missing a half-century. Gul Feroza also played an important role with a composed 37-run knock that helped Pakistan maintain pressure throughout the innings.

Chasing a daunting target of 238, Zimbabwe Women never looked comfortable against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. The visitors struggled to build partnerships and were eventually bowled out for only 84 runs in 18.2 overs.

Natasha Tomba scored 24 runs while Adiel Zimuno contributed 18, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to resist Pakistan’s relentless attack.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana led from the front with the ball, claiming three wickets. Sadia Iqbal and Natalia Pervaiz also impressed by taking two wickets each to dismantle Zimbabwe’s batting order.

The dominant victory gives Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series and sends a strong message ahead of the remaining matches.

With Ayesha Zafar’s historic century and Pakistan Women’s record-breaking total, fans were left celebrating a memorable night for women’s cricket in the country.
