Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has announced conversion of Pakistan Maritime Academy into a degree-awarding institution.
During his visit to the academy on Thursday, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that a bill in this regard would be presented in the National Assembly soon.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that reforms are underway to make the academy compatible with modern requirements and the government’s goal is to make it an institution in line with international standards.
Acting Commandant Muhammad Asif Farooq briefed Federal Minister on training activities.
He briefed that special training in firefighting provided to port personnel at academy.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry expressed satisfaction over training quality.
