Russia and China warn of global “law of the jungle” order

Russia and China have issued a strong joint warning about rising global instability. They say the international system is moving toward fragmentation. They also say power politics is replacing cooperation.

The two countries made the statement during high-level talks in Beijing. The declaration was released after meetings between senior Russian and Chinese leadership.

They said some countries are trying to dominate global affairs. They accused such states of imposing their interests on others. They also said this approach reflects outdated, colonial-style thinking.

Russia and China said these efforts have failed. However, they warned that global tensions are still increasing. They said this could lead to a return of a “law of the jungle” in world affairs.

They stressed that global peace and development are under pressure. They said trust between nations is weakening. They also warned that international unity is breaking down.

President China Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin held detailed talks in Beijing. The meeting focused on political cooperation, economic ties, and energy projects.

Both leaders described their relationship as strong and strategic. They emphasized long-term coordination between their countries. They also called for a more balanced global governance system.

Xi Jinping said mutual trust is the foundation of relations between the two countries. He said cooperation has deepened in recent years.

Vladimir Putin said Russia and China are helping maintain global stability. He also said Russia remains a reliable energy supplier.

Energy cooperation was a key topic in the discussions. Both sides reviewed long-term gas supply arrangements.

A major focus remains the proposed Power of Siberia 2 pipeline. The project has been under negotiation for years.

However, important issues are still unresolved. Gas pricing and final agreements have not yet been settled.

China remains one of the largest buyers of Russian energy. But it continues to diversify its energy imports.

The talks took place during a sensitive global diplomatic period. Relations between major world powers remain tense.

China also signaled interest in stabilizing trade ties with the United States. Officials discussed possible extensions of trade understandings.

The meeting between Xi and Putin followed recent global diplomatic activity involving Washington and Beijing.

Russia and China are continuing to deepen their partnership. Cooperation has expanded since Western sanctions on Russia.

Trade, energy, and diplomatic coordination have all increased. Both countries describe their relationship as a “strategic partnership of the new era.”

Officials are expected to sign dozens of agreements. A joint statement on strengthening ties is also planned.
