The Punjab government on Thursday imposed section 144 for 30 days in the surrounding areas of all air bases of the Pakistan Air Force and airports in the province in order to make them more secure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Punjab Home Department said that the section had been imposed within 13 kilometers of air bases and airports to ensure that there would be a complete ban on pigeon fight, use of laser lights and dumping animal hides in these areas since these activities posed a serious threat to flight operations.
The department said that the purpose of imposing the section was to protect human lives and properties besides making flight operations secure.
It said that law-enforcement agencies had been directed to ensure that people complied with these orders.
