A legal dispute between actress Momina Iqbal and Pakistan Muslim League-N lawmaker Saqib Chadhar has intensified after the actress formally approached police seeking legal action.
According to sources, Momina Iqbal submitted a written application at Chuhng Police Station against the MPA, and a copy of the complaint has also surfaced publicly.
The application stated that the actress had previously lodged a complaint against Saqib Chadhar with the National Cyber Crime Agency (NCCA). She alleged that she was subjected to death threats, harassment and blackmail attempts.
According to the complaint, Saqib Chadhar proposed marriage to the actress in 2022, but she later discovered that he was already married twice. Momina Iqbal claimed that tensions escalated after she decided to end the relationship.
The actress further alleged that Saqib Chadhar and his wife Samaira repeatedly threatened her and harassed her on multiple occasions.
The complaint also stated that after her marriage was arranged elsewhere, attempts were allegedly made to blackmail her through AI-generated images and videos shared via WhatsApp.
Momina Iqbal additionally claimed that her sister received threatening messages, while her fiancé Hamza was also allegedly threatened.
The actress visited Chuhng Police Station along with her legal team to submit the application. Police officials said the matter is currently under legal review and further action will be taken after an investigation.
