Regular tennis training programme has been launched for children residing in Child Protection Bureau, it was reported on Tuesday.
In accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau started a regular tennis training programme to promote the physical, mental and moral development of children residing in Punjab.
On the directions of Chairperson Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Sara Ahmed, keeping in mind the physical fitness, sports skills and positive personality building of children, a qualified tennis coach has been appointed, who is providing tennis training to both boys and girls residing in the bureau on a professional basis.
During the training, children are being exposed to modern technical skills of tennis as well as the principles of discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle so that they can become physically fit, mentally strong and socially responsible citizens.
On this occasion, Chairperson Sara Ahmed said that sports play a fundamental role in the development of children’s personality, self-confidence, leadership skills and positive attitudes.
She said that the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau is not limited to providing protection and shelter to children but is also taking practical steps for their all-round development through their education, health, sports and other positive co-curricular activities.
She further said that the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau is utilizing all possible resources to make children competent and confident citizens by providing them with a safe, healthy and conducive environment so that they can play their role as useful and active members of the society in the future.
