NEPRA reserves decision on plea to increase electricity tariff by Rs1.20 per unit

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has completed a hearing on a request to increase electricity traiffs by Rs1.20 per unit under the monthly tariff adjustment mechanism.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency had filed the request seeking a Rs1.20 per unit increase for the month of June.

After completing the hearing, NEPRA reserved its decision which will be issued later.

According to the government’s policy guidelines, the proposed increase will also be applicable to K-Electric consumers in Karachi.
