Sahibzada Farhan beats India’s Abhishek in latest ICC T20I rankings

Pakistan’s hard-hitting opening batter Sahibzada Farhan has moved up to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings, going past India’s Abhishek Sharma, it was reported on Thursday.

The change came after India’s 3-0 series win over Zimbabwe, which led to some movement in the rankings.

Farhan now has 848 rating points, while Abhishek has dropped to third with 819 points. India’s Ishan Kishan remains at the top of the list with 910 points.

Saim Ayub continues to occupy 41st place in the T20I batting rankings, with 560 points to his name. Babar Azam is just behind him in 43rd with 555 points, while Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha sits at 45th on 547 points.

India’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made the biggest jump in the updated rankings. The youngster’s impressive performances against Zimbabwe earned him the Player of the Series award and helped him move up 230 places to 48th, where he now has 536 rating points.

Fakhar Zaman was the only Pakistani batter among the listed players to lose ground, falling from 72nd to 73rd with 481 points.

Talking about the ICC Men’s T20I bowling rankings, Abrar Ahmed continues to sit second in the list, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top. England’s Adil Rashid also kept his third-place position after performing well in the recent India series.

Mohammad Nawaz continues to feature inside the top 10, sitting in 10th place with 658 rating points. Salman Mirza made a small jump in the latest update and now ranks 15th on 636 points. Shaheen Shah Afridi also improved his position, moving to 30th with 602 points.
Meanwhile, Usman Tariq is still ranked 59th with 524 points, whereas Sufiyan Muqeem occupies 68th place after collecting 510 points. There was no change in the positions of Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf, who remain 76th and 89th, respectively.
