Fatima Zahra wins historic Bronze Medal at Commonwealth Games

Pakistani boxer Fatima Zahra created history by becoming the country’s first-ever female boxer to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games.

She secured a bronze medal despite her semi-final defeat.

Although her campaign for the gold medal came to an end in the semi-finals, Fatima’s bronze-winning performance marked a landmark achievement for Pakistan and added a new chapter to the country’s sporting history.

Celebrations broke out in her hometown of Sargodha, where her family expressed pride in her historic success.

Her parents said Fatima had brought great honour to Pakistan and raised the nation’s flag on the international stage.
