Sohail Afridi announces major PTI action plan from Swabi on October 13

CHARSADDA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will unveil its future course of action in Swabi on October 13, declaring that his government is prepared to sacrifice its position for party founder Imran Khan.

Addressing a public rally in Charsadda on Saturday, Afridi said PTI workers’ enthusiasm was increasing daily and that people from across the country would begin arriving in Swabi from October 11.

He said the party would announce its next strategy on October 13 and proceed peacefully from Swabi to its next destination.

“Our government is ready to be sacrificed for Imran Khan,” Afridi said, adding that the struggle had moved beyond the question of retaining political office.

Describing himself as a soldier of Imran Khan, the chief minister said only the PTI founder’s policies would prevail in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Afridi condemned alleged raids and arrests in Charsadda and welcomed Nadia’s release.

He said PTI would not compromise on its dignity under any circumstances and would not tolerate the introduction of what he described as an alien political culture in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The chief minister accused his political opponents of supporting individuals involved in intimidation while publicly opposing such practices in politics.

He alleged that certain individuals were working for money and said PTI knew the identities of those commonly referred to as “unknown” persons.

Afridi also accused his opponents of using the threat of an emergency and governor’s rule to intimidate the provincial government.

He maintained that an emergency could not be imposed under the prevailing circumstances and alleged that terrorism was once again being imposed on the province.

The chief minister disclosed that he had been asked to sign a document but had refused. He did not provide further details about the document.

Reaffirming his commitment to Imran Khan, Afridi said he would continue his political struggle regardless of the consequences.

“Either shoot me, or I will return victorious,” he said.

He added that he would reject any position of power that diverted him from his political mission.

Afridi urged PTI workers to continue their struggle for their rights regardless of whether he remained in his position after October 13.

“Whether I am around after the 13th or not, the workers must come out for their rights,” he said.
