Pakistani model, actress and host Vaneeza Ahmed has shed light on how jealousy and comparisons within families can damage relationships.
Vaneeza commented on the importance of self awareness and accepting every individual’s unique identity.
During an interview, Vaneeza discussed how jealousy can develop in different relationships and why people need to recognise and manage their own emotions instead of constantly focusing on others.
She pointed out that individuals may not always realise their own jealous behaviour until they make a conscious effort to reflect on their attitudes and actions.
Further putting eye on family dynamics, Vaneeza shared how parents can unintentionally create resentment among children by comparing siblings, cousins and other family members.
Such comparisons can leave lasting effects on relationships and contribute to unhealthy rivalries.
She emphasised that children should be appreciated for their individual qualities rather than measured against one another.
According to Vaneeza, fostering acceptance and mutual respect from an early age can help prevent jealousy from becoming deeply rooted within families.
Vaneeza also drew attention to how these patterns can continue into adulthood, potentially contributing to strained relationships between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.
