Pakistan extends Hajj dues payment deadline by one day

ISLAMABAD: The deadline for depositing the second instalment under Pakistan’s government Hajj scheme has been extended by one day, allowing intending pilgrims to pay their outstanding dues until midnight tonight.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 1,200 intending pilgrims had not deposited the second instalment by the original deadline. Individual messages are also being sent to remind them to complete their payments.

The spokesperson said today is the final opportunity for the remaining intending pilgrims to deposit their dues. Those who fail to pay the second instalment by the stipulated deadline will have their Hajj applications cancelled.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the first instalment will be refunded to pilgrims whose applications are cancelled.
