HASSAN ABDAAL: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated a newly constructed house under the provincial government’s Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar scheme in Hassan Abdal.
During her visit, the chief minister met retired Havaldar Aitbar Shah and his family to learn about their experience with the housing initiative.
The family told Maryam Nawaz that they had received a loan of Rs1.5 million under the scheme, which enabled them to construct their own house on a plot they already owned.
The chief minister congratulated the family on achieving their dream of owning a home and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the housing programme.
She also highlighted the achievement of providing loans to 225,000 people under the initiative, which aims to help deserving families build houses and improve their living conditions.
The Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar scheme is a Punjab government initiative designed to facilitate people who own small plots but lack the financial resources to construct their homes.
