A record increase has been witnessed in the production of electricity from solar energy in the areas covered by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) as it has reached 1,630 megawatts, it was reported on Monday.
As per the documents available with the 24News TV channel, consumers exported 10 crore units in August.
On the other hand, sources informed that overall, 19 crore units of electricity were generated from solar energy, while consumers, by generating electricity from the source, received the benefit of eight crore units, totaling Rs4.50 billion.
Those who generated electricity from solar energy were domestic, commercial, industrial and tube-wells consumers.
